Intensity

Picture of an imposing cheetah staring with intensity, his golden eyes burning right through the camera. Only about 6 feet off the ground on this huge tree trunk his entire body is tensed and ready to charge. He had just finished stretching and yawning, showing lots of teeth and claws prior to turning to face the camera. (see Stretching Out) His body is beautifully silhouetted by the sapphire and aquamarine tree trunk plus brilliant greens and bright blue sky. His fur is short, coarse and tan embellished with round black spots that function as camouflage while hunting and his tail is long with black bands and white tip.

The Vumbura Game Reserve is one of the reserves located in the Okavango Delta. Botswana's Okavango Delta is rightly considered one of the most incredible wildlife and wilderness sanctuaries in Africa. It is the largest inland delta system in the world, an area of about 6000 square miles filled with water channels, lagoons, swamps and islands. What makes this area most remarkable is that it is a wetland paradise located deep within the arid Kalahari Desert.
